Dishub Monitors Vehicle Volume During WFH for Jakarta ASN

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) keeps monitoring traffic, especially since the implementation of the Work From Home (WFH) policy for state civil apparatuses (ASN).

Traffic volume is monitored from 49 analytic camera points for Dishub

On August 21, 2023, which was the first day of implementing WFH for ASN, the traffic volume was recorded at 6,954,805 vehicles per day. This figure rose by 1.34 percent (24,189 vehicles) compared to August 14 with a traffic volume of 6,862,643 vehicles per day.

"The increase in the volume of vehicles on August 21 was due to community activities resulting in a high traffic volume of 1.34% on the first day of WFH for ASN Jakarta," explained Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo in Jakarta, Thursday (8/24).

Then on August 22, the recorded traffic volume decreased by 6,541,706 vehicles per day or decreased by 4.69 percent (reduced by 321,787 vehicles) when compared to August 15 with a traffic volume of 6,863,493 vehicles per day.

"Traffic volume is monitored from 49 analytic camera points for Dishub. We record include the total traffic volume during morning rush hours (6 AM - 10 AM) and evening (4 PM - 8 PM)," he explained.

While the Jakarta ASN which has implemented the WFH trial mechanism reached 23,343 people. It is applied to ASNs who do not perform direct services with a percentage of 50 percent present in the office and will be increased by 75 percent during the ASEAN Summit on September 4-7 and 25 percent work in offices. It will run until October 21, 2023.

It is by City Secretary Circular Letter Number 34/2023 on WFH.

"Evaluations will also continue to be conducted by continuing to monitor the volume of vehicle traffic for the effectiveness of WFH policy as an effort to reduce congestion and reduce air pollution levels in Jakarta," he stated.
