Compliance with LH Agency Employees Not Bringing Private Vehicles Gets Appreciation

Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) Head, Asep Kuswanto appreciated all of his employees who did not bring their vehicles on Wednesday (8/23).

hopefully, it can be emulated by all the people of Jakarta in the future

According to him, this compliance is a form of commitment to take part in improving Jakarta's air quality.

"We're here the big family of the LH Agency who started this step, hopefully it can be emulated by all the people of Jakarta in the future," he expressed, Thursday (8/24).

Jakarta's Air Quality this Morning is in Medium Category

He disclosed if the government does not set a good example to the public in improving Jakarta's air, it will reduce trust in the government.

"It is indeed hard for us, hopefully with this rule,  taking public transportation and using low-emission vehicles will become our habit in the future. This is all for better air quality," he hoped.

Aside that, his agency has also required emission test rules for all its employees and a Work From Home (WFH) policy that has been required by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

This rule would take effect three months in advance and would be extended after an evaluation.

"This will likely be extended after an evaluation because this rule is to set an example for the community," he uttered.

As for the information, the Jakarta LH Agency applies rules to its employees to use public transportation and low-emission vehicles every Wednesday starting August 23, 2023.

The LH Agency office, located at Jalan Mandala V Number 67, Cililitan Urban Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, looks deserted from the employees' vehicles. Only Operational Service vehicles are seen parked inside the office.
