LH Agency Holds Emission Test Week at Hundreds of Emission Test Sites

The Jakarta Provincial Government continues to improve air quality in Jakarta through various means. One way is to conduct emission test weeks as socialization for people who have vehicles to hold emission tests regularly.

Let's test emissions as a joint effort to make Jakarta's sky blue

Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) Head, Asep Kuswanto called on the whole community to undergo emission tests of their private vehicles, either cars or motorbikes that are over three years. There were 335 car workshops and 106 motorbike workshops in Jakarta that were ready to carry out this emission test.

"Residents can find emission test workshop locations spread across five administrative city areas. Its locations can be searched via the e-Emission Test application or JAKI application by typing "emissions" in the search field. You can also open the website https://ujiemisi.jakarta.go.id," he expressed, Tuesday (8/29).

Heru Opens Public Discussion to Formulate Air Quality Handling Policy

Each workshop that participates in this emission test week provides a free quota of 30 vehicles per day by placing a special sign in the form of a banner. Outside of this quota, the public is charged with the normal emission test service tariff.

He urged vehicle owners to immediately undergo emission tests, as Polda Metro Jaya will take action against those who do not take part in or fail to pass the emission test on September 1, 2023.

The imposition of sanctions by the provisions of Law Number 22/2009 on Traffic and Road Transportation is in the form of a fine, which is Rp 250,000 for motorbikes and Rp 500,000 for cars.

"We're socializing this emission test with Polda Metro Jaya staff until August 31, 2023. Let's remind each other, relatives, and other friends to immediately test the emissions of their private vehicles. So, let's test emissions as a joint effort to make Jakarta's sky blue," he stated.
