LH Agency - Polda Metro Jaya Intensifies Emission Test Raid

The Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) together with Polda Metro Jaya held emission test raids on several roads in the capital city.

Once a week, we will conduct an emissions test

Jakarta LH Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto said today's emission test raid is one of the short-term functions that effectively reduces air pollution in Jakarta.

"Apart from emission tests, we have also made several efforts to reduce air pollution by planting trees and others," he expressed, Friday (9/1).

He explained it was focused on Jalan Pemuda (East Jakarta), Jalan RE Martadinata (North Jakarta), Taman Anggrek (West Jakarta), Jalan Asia Afrika (Central Jakarta), and Blok M Terminal (South Jakarta).

Vehicle owners were asked to immediately undergo an emissions test at an official workshop that collaborated with the LH Agency

"Once a week, we will conduct an emissions test. So, I suggest that drivers immediately test their vehicle emissions to help reduce air pollution," he explained.

Polda Metro Jaya's Traffic Unit Vice Director, AKBP Doni Hermawan stated the fines given to violators were around Rp 250,000 to Rp 500,000.

"Today, there are also 10 of our official cars that are undergoing emission tests," he said.
