Evidently, the officers of Central Jakarta Marine, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-Department found chicken meats containing formalin during a raid at Palmerah Market, Gelora Urban Village, Tanah Abang Sub-District, Central Jakarta, Thursday (3/19).
No Formaline Food Found In A RaidThe officers managed to confiscate 3 kilograms of formalined meats. “From the sample taken of 2 sellers, we found chicken meats and intestines containing formalin,” said Head of Cental Jakarta Marine,Agriculture and Food Security Sub-Department, M. Mulyadi.
Mulyadi stated his party will conduct sweeping in the slaughtering houses and chicken sales. After that, its sellers will be summoned and questioned.
“We will ask the sellers where they got formalined chicken meats. If there is crime indication, we will report it to supervisor from sub-department,” he expressed.
