More Biopores Built to Minimize Flooding on Harapan Island

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has again built an infiltration well and two biopore holes at RT 05/01, Harapan Island, North Seribu Islands.

Harapan Island SDA Sub-agency Coordinator, Ganda expressed that the infiltration well and biopore hole construction has been ongoing since Friday (9/29). It involved three personnel.
"It is one of the best possible solutions to flooding," he expressed, Monday (10/2).
Infiltration Wells and Biopore Holes in Pramuka Island Cleaned UpHe explained the infiltration well would have a diameter of 30x30 centimeters with a depth of up to 50 centimeters, while the biopore holes would have a width of 35 centimeters using a four-inch pipe.
"Overall, there are 69 spots of wells on Harapan Island spread across three RWs," he explained.
Harapan Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Yusup appreciated the SDA personnel who were active, fast, and neat in building infiltration wells and biopore holes in his region.
"Hopefully, it can speed up rainwater infiltration," he stated.
