The Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is normalizing the water channel on Jalan Tanah Abang V, RT 01/02, Petojo Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

"The pipe was dismantled and then replaced with river stone with 40 centimeters wide," he said, Thursday (10/12).

"If it is made into river stone, it is worried that it will damage the foundations of people's houses," he continued.
This normalization that has been started since October 5 is a follow-up to the request of South Petojo Urban Village Head, Rahmat Hidayat.
"There are also many PAM Jaya utility pipes there. So, personnel have to be more observant and thorough," he explained.
It was targted to be completed on October 19, 2023. Thus far, it has touched 80 percent.
"We strive to complete it according to target," he added.
Petojo Selatan Urban Village Head, Rahmat Hidayat appreciated the quick response of SDA personnel in following up on his request.
"The channel is now wide. Hopefully, when it rains heavily, flooding in the surrounding area can be minimized," he said.
