Until September 2023, Millions of Ornamental Plants Planted in Jakarta

The Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency (Tamhut) is committed to making Jakarta a global city that is modern, green, beautiful, aesthetic, and comfortable.

Thus far, the area is being planted with trees in stages

Therefore, the Jakarta Forestry Agency consistently conducts reforestation by planting instant trees throughout the city. It was recorded that 87,345 trees and 5,856,210 ornamental plants were planted from October 2022 to September 2023.

Jakarta Tamhut Agency Head, Bayu Meghantara said his party was also conducting massive reforestation of the entire Green Open Space area from this year's Fasos and Fasum revenues covering an area of 167,008 square meters.

"Thus far, the area is being planted with trees in stages," he expressed, Friday (10/20).

He added the trees in question are trees resulting from cutting compensation in Jakarta. A total of 4,000 trees would be planted at the location.

"We'll continue to maintain our commitment to providing the best for Jakartans in carrying out functions in the fields of Parks and City Forests," he uttered.
