The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Agency (KPKP) is set to hold the Urban Farming Festival at the Block G building of Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, which falls from October 30 to November 1, 2023.

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati said the Urban Farming Festival would be held for three days and would present various activities.
"The first day of the festival will include melon and grape cultivation activities, cooking demonstrations, ornamental plant auctions, talk shows with material on smart farming, use of rooftops and urban farming for children with special needs, as well as coffee brewing competitions for vocational school children and the equivalent," she expressed, Friday (10/27).

"On the third day, there will be technical guidance on the cultivation of papaya and processed roselle, ornamental plant auctions, talk shows with millennial farmers from Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung and Banten, photography competitions, making fresh vegetable hampers, sansiviera ornamental plants, aglonema and stands, as well as announcements and awarding of competition prizes," she explained.
She added it was open to the public and urban farming activists in Jakarta.
"We have opened self-registration for residents who will enliven the urban farming festival activities," she stated.
