25 Illegal Stalls In Tebet Timur Demolished

As many as 25 stalls owned by street vendors on Jalan Tebet Utara 3, Tebet Timur, Tebet, South Jakarta, demolished by 40 Satpol PP personnel, Wednesday (3/25).

Today, we're re-functioning public facilities such as sidewalks and water channels along Jalan Tebet Utara 3

"Today, we're re-functioning public facilities such as sidewalks and water channels along Jalan Tebet Utara 3," said Chief of Tebet Sub-District Satpol PP, Asromadian, Wednesday (3/25).

Asromadian stated the urban village side had warned the vendors to demolish their stalls by themselves repeatedly, but it was ignored. "Of the 25 stalls, 10 of them have been demolished and the rest will be demolished gradually. The remnants of the stalls then transported to the trucks. Thus the site looks clean and then can be followed by the regional working unit (SKPD)," he exclaimed.

Again, Street Vendors Back to Occupy Kota Tua

Haryati (45), one of the vendors, claimed she received a warning letter from Tebet Timur Urban Village side. "I have no choice, and I know we are prohibited to open business here. I'm also still searching another location right now," told a woman who has been selling fried chicken more than 5 years.
