An empty land covering an area of 37 square meters, which is overgrown with wild plants and garbage on Jalan Malaka, RT 02/08, Munjul Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, is being rearranged into a greening area.

Munjul Urban Village Acting Head, Siti Nurhasanah said the greening program at this location was a leading area planning activity in phase four. It has been started on October 16, 2023, and the work progress has touched 65 percent.

There were eight types of ornamental plants planted, consisting of Sirih Mutiara, Gandarusa Ungu, Sugi Parigata, Adam Hawa Ungu, Pilo Kuning, and Lili Pari with 100 plants each.
"All the plant seeds are from the Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency. But, some also come from us," he expressed.
RW 08 Chairman, Munjul Urban Village, Maidi Syahrial, appreciated the urban village for collaborating with residents to arrange slum areas in his area.
"Every day, we also help monitor and arrange things," he uttered.
In the surrounding locations, four more locations are still needed to be arranged and made into superior parks for the following year.
"Hopefully, it can create a sense of safety and comfort," he stated.
