Jakarta Becomes General Champion of Karate at POMNas XVIII

Jakarta succeeded in becoming the General Champion of Karate at the National Student Sports Week XVIII (POMNas), South Kalimantan.

The entire series of matches was completed yesterday

Jakarta Karate Team Manager, Sri Suskandariah said Jakarta had succeeded in becoming the General Champion in karate by winning five gold, five silver, and four bronze medals.

"The entire series of matches was completed yesterday," she expressed, Wednesday (11/22).

She explained the gold medals were won by Muhammad Yusuf Bintang Susanto (Men's Kumite 60 Kilograms), Prince Rafly Pratama (Men's Kumite +84 Kilograms), Mohammad Fadillah (Men's Kumite -84 Kilograms), and Fiftari Amelza (Women's Kumite -55 Kilograms).

"We also win a gold medal in the Women's Team Kumite event strengthened by Annisa Nur Anggraini, Beatrix Helena Pangemanan, Cindi Cristal, Dewi Nur Wijayanti, Fiftari Amelza, and Kalica Bunga Serlinda," she explained.

She expressed her thanks and high appreciation to all the athletes and officials who had presented extraordinary achievements at POMNas XVIII.

"This achievement is something that all of us Jakarta residents are proud of. I congratulate the athletes who have won gold medals. For those who haven't yet, you need to be more enthusiastic and practice harder," she expressed.

She wants training for athletes to continue optimally and sustainably, thus, Jakarta karate athletes can also achieve the highest achievements at the National Sports Week (PON).

"Insya Allah (God willing), through good coaching, they will also win the PON in Aceh and North Sumatra next year," she stated.
