Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, attended the inauguration of 316 new members of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) 2023 for the 2021-2024 Service Period at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (11/23).
Having a career and working under the auspices of HIPMI
On that occasion, he said that the Jakarta Provincial Government needed the support of young entrepreneurs, so Jakarta's economy could continue. Jakarta's growth will be approximately 4.93 percent (YoY) in the third quarter of 2023. This growth cannot be separated from the efforts of HIPMI members.
He explained that Jakarta would no longer have the status of a National Capital shortly. He reminded us to continuously develop the economy and create a good investment climate.
HIPMI Jaya - Jakarta Synergizes to Develop Entrepreneurship Ecosystem"Unemployment in Jakarta has declined but immigrants to Jakarta continue to grow. This decline is inversely proportional to the number of immigrants who want to work in Jakarta. That is a challenge, but it is an opportunity for HIPMI members, as they can't work alone and need employees," he explained.
He also urged them to produce many leaders and other strategic positions in government, namely presidents and ministers. That is why, HIPMI is a strategic place for young entrepreneurs to shelter.
"Having a career and working under the auspices of HIPMI, being honest, having good communication channels, and having insight will open up opportunities to lead this nation. Please think about the advice of the founder of HIMPI, pay attention, and implement it to encourage us as the successors of the nation and the management of HIPMI," he added.
BPD HIPMI Jaya Chairman, Sona Maesana said the number of young entrepreneurs in Jakarta was increasing. Therefore, HIPMI appreciates the Jakarta Government for providing convenience and business support, as well as space for young entrepreneurs to continue to develop.
There are currently almost 4,000 active members of HIPMI Jaya under the age of 41 years and in Indonesia there are more than 40,000 people. However, this number is deemed still insufficient because to become a developed country the number of entrepreneurs must be at least double digits of the total population.
“Now it's only at three percent. For new members who have just been inaugurated, please help spread the entrepreneurial spirit to all corners of Jakarta. Since the beginning, HIPMI's aim has been to spread the entrepreneurial spirit among young people in Indonesia. Please, Mr. Governor, we can be coached, thus our business can develop," she said.
