Malam Muda Mudi Festival to Brighten Up Seribu Islands in Sakura Beach Area

The Seribu Islands Regency administration is set to welcome the New Year 2024 by holding the Malam Muda Mudi Jakarta Global City Creative Arts festival in the Sakura Beach area, Untung Jawa Island, South Seribu Islands, which falls on Sunday (12/31).

Seribu Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency Head, Sonti Pangaribuan said the Malam Muda Mudi Jakarta Global City Creative Arts are held to celebrate New Year's Eve and also attract tourists to visit Untung Jawa Island.

"This moment must be greeted with joy. That's why, we hold various folk entertainment for locals and tourists," she expressed, Tuesday (12/26).

She explained there would be a bazaar and the potential for various types of crafts processed by residents in six sub-districts, as well as musical entertainment from the performance of the Hi Fellas Band group, El-Corona, and dangdut singer, Ira Swara.

"This is also one of our efforts to promote the Seribu Islands destination by always continuing to improve and develop the tourist destination area," she explained.

Seribu Islands Deputy Regent, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan positively welcomed the event that would be held from the afternoon to late afternoon.

He urged tourists who want to celebrate the New Year in his area not to bring and consume illegal drugs, alcohol, sharp weapons, and so forth.

Hopefully, it could run smoothly considering it would be supported by the regional apparatus organizations, army (TNI), and police.
