200 Trees Planted at Casamura Nursery

South Jakarta Administration together with Military District Command (Kodim) 0504 planted 200 productive trees at Casamura Nursery, Jalan Sirsak, RT 10/04, Ciganjur, Jagakarsa.

in order to provide benefits for the community

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin, said the simultaneous planting every Friday aims to preserve the environment, greening, food security and land use, as well as reducing air pollution in Jakarta.

"Today we're planting in an eight hectare location which was previously planted with various types of trees by the Acting Jakarta Governor," he said," Friday (1/5).

South Jakarta Dandim 0504, Lieutenant Colonel (Inf) Roy Fakhrul Rozi said this program was also attended by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD), General Maruli Simanjuntak.

"In accordance with our leader's direction, we collaborate with local government planting in an empty land in order to provide benefits for the community," he stated.

Roy explained that those 200 productive trees are Mango, Guava, Longan, Breadfruit, and so on. His party has also planned to do urban farming in the community with vegetable crops as the main commodity.

"We'll remain build synergy with local government for caring our environment," he closed.
