Residents living in RT 04/03 Cilangkap Sub-district, Cipayung, East Jakarta, helped with the process of planting three Angsana trees on Jalan Swadaya conducted by PPSU personnel and Parks Task Force, Wednesday (1/10).

By doing so, residents will no longer worry about falling trees

RT 04/03 Cilangkap Chair, Muhammad Daris Salam said his party had indeed requested for help from the sub-district office to prune the three trees. It was because they were worried about falling over during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.

To help it, his party and residents temporarily closed Jalan Swadaya and directed vehicles to pass along other roads.

He also appreciated the sub-district authorities and the East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency for responding to their residents' requests.

"By doing so, residents will no longer worry about falling trees," he expressed.

Cilangkap Urban Village Head, Dicky Wijaya Sumantri explained one of the three trees had reached seven meters in height and was very shady and overhanging the road. So, there was concern that the tree would become heavier and more prone to falling.

"We deployed 13 joint personnel from PPSU and the Parks Task Force to execute pruning," he stated.
