April, Sidewalk Construction on Jalan Sentra Primer Completed

Six Bina Marga Task Force personnel were deployed to arrange sidewalks on Jalan Sentra Primer RW 07, Pulogebang Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta. It has started since the end of December and is targeted to be completed next April.

The focus is on empty land that can be installed with kanstine blocks

One of the Cakung Sub-district Bina Marga Task Force members, Firman expressed that the sidewalk arrangement started from the installation of kanstine block and then continued with land leveling for easy installation of concrete block

He explained the work location started from the front exit of the Era Mas Housing Complex to the road turn or U-Turn under the Pulogebang Bridge.

"This is uneven but only in spots. The focus is on empty land that can be installed with kanstine blocks and made sidewalks," he said, Thursday (1/11).

It was targeted to be completed in the upcoming April, as personnel in the field sometimes have to follow up on community reports first. Moreover, the material was limited and the land conditions still need to be leveled.

The action above received appreciation from locals. One of them was namely Ferdian (46). He admitted, so far there has been no barrier between the edge and shoulder of the road for pedestrians, thus they feel less comfortable and safe when crossing.

"Hopefully, the work can be completed quickly because it is what society needs," he hoped.
