Acting Governor Shows Commitment to Successful Democratic Party in Jakarta

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono is committed to making this year's democratic party a success. It means it can run conducively, safely, smoothly, and with high resident participation levels.

Massive socialization is important

Jakarta DPRD's Democratic Party Fraction Chairperson, Dessie Christyana Sari said regional heads are important in socializing and educating the public to smoothen the elections.

"Massive socialization is important, thus Jakarta residents always remember to use their right to vote, maintain a conducive situation, and prioritize national unity and integrity," she expressed, Sunday (1/14).

Seeing the importance of the successful implementation of elections, she explained, its socialization must be held through facilities and infrastructure which can be done face to face, social media, and outdoor media.

"Besides in Jakarta, I think the police and army (TNI) must also do the same thing," she explained.

According to her, it was also very normal for invitations or socialization via outdoor media or social media to include photos of regional heads, police/TNI, and heads of agencies or institutions.

"It's normal, I think, leaders are usually role models. The existence of the photo also shows the commitment according to his/her position to ensure that the elections run smoothly, safely, and peacefully. This is because it is common for polarization to occur during the election phase, but don't let this damage national unity," she explained.

She added the Acting Jakarta Governor would also definitely uphold neutrality in the elections in Jakarta. It was because he is also a State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

"I'm sure he also knows very well the importance of neutrality because ASNs who are not neutral during the election stages, sanctions will be regulated," she added.

As for the information, in the elections 2024, the Acting Governor is encouraging the spirit of Pilihan Cerdas, Pemilu Aman, Indonesia Kuat! (Smart Votes, Safe Elections, Strong Indonesia!) This message was conveyed massively, thus people are more aware of the elections and that their implementation can run well, as well as hopes for a great Indonesia.
