The West Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut) has pruned as many as 13,334 trees from January to December 2023.

West Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Romy Sidharta said that besides being a routine activity, tree pruning is also done to anticipate fallen or broken trees and to keep the environment clean and tidy.
It was focused on trees on protocol roads, artery roads, neighborhood roads, parks, and green belts.

Based on the category, the pruning of tens of thousands of trees was divided into three categories, namely, light category with 9,530 trees, medium category with 2,729 trees, and heavy category with 1,075 trees.
"Last year, we also handled 112 fallen or broken trees," he stated.
