The channel dredging along 50 meters on Jalan Raya Jatinegara Barat RT 01/06, Bali Mester Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, has been completed today, Tuesday (1/16). The channel was dredged based on resident's request.

Jatinegara Sub-district Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Robi Triawan, said the dredging involved his seven personnel assisted by urban village PPSU personnel. The dredging was conducted since Friday (1/12).

The dredging was started from Jatinegara market's west exit gate heading to Jalan Raya Jatinegara Barat.
RW 06 Bali Mester Head, Sukardi, admitted the inundation often happened during heavy rain. The u-ditch channel cover also moved from its place due to high water flow.
"That is why we ask support from the urban village to handle the channel," he stated.
