Last Year, E. Jakarta PMI Provided 33,547 Health and Social Services

Throughout 2023, the East Jakarta Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) has served 33,547 social and health services.

This service will be provided every time if there is an event or activity

East Jakarta PMI's Public Relations and Communication Sector Head, Agus Bastian explainded as many as 547 health and first aid services had been provided. These included aid for hearse services, distribution of post-disaster logistical aid and social services.

While there were 33,000 social services that had been implemented. These included ambulance services from the community, schools, government or private agencies, including disaster response, and traffic accidents.

"This service will be provided every time if there is an event or activity," he expressed, Thursday (1/18).

To provide it, his party had a volunteer workforce consisting of 15,290 active Youth Red Cross (PMR) members. This number was divided into initial PMR levels with 6,765 volunteers, intermediate with 5,023, and PMR Wira with 3,502 volunteers.

In addition, there were 239 volunteers involved at least once in PMI activities during the last six months.

The existence and role of the East Jakarta PMI was acknowledged by RT 11/06 Bidara Cina Head, Robiyanto. He assessed, PMI staff quickly provided assistance to residents during the fire incident last Sunday (1/15).

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), PMI responded quickly enough to provide assistance to the residents," he stated.
