S. Jakarta PMI Collects 49,178 Blood Pockets in 2023

The South Jakarta Indonesia Res Cross (PMI) collected 49,178 blood pockets along January-December 2023.

Collected blood pocket can be used to cure various medical condition

South Jakarta PMI Head, Abdul Haris, said the main purpose for blood donor is for preparing blood stock for medical needs.

"Collected blood pocket can be used to cure various medical condition," he said, Tuesday (1/9).

Haris detailed that the collected blood pockets in January 2023 were 3,087, February 3,950, March 3,874, April 2,370, May 4,611, and June 4,363 blood pockets.

Next, July were 4,345 blood pockets, August 4,791, September 3,854, October 4,022, November 4,050, and December by 3,399 blood pockets.

"Not only accepting people visiting our unit, but we also conducted program to government, education, and private parties," he added.

He continued that South Jakarta PMI also disbursed calamity assistance such as school equipment to 5,000 students, health equipments to 1,000 residents, and house and praying house renovation.

Others were coaching, competition, and inauguration of 5,600 Teenager Red Cross (PMI).
