Lack of Personnel, PMKS Continued to Roam in West Jakarta

Ideally, each area is guarded by10-20 personnel

The existence of the people with social and welfare problems (PMKS) in West Jakarta is apparently still difficult to be controlled. Whereas, the local government already intensified various ways. Besides many PMKS-prone points, this problem is also caused by lack of personnel of Service, Supervision, and Social Management (P3S). 

Head of West Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Ika Yuli Rahayu stated, at this time her side only have 50 P3S personnel. Its number is considered unoptimal to supervise 8 PMKS-prone points, like Cengkareng, Kalideres Bus Terminal, Grogol intersection, Tomang, Pasar Pagi (Asemka), Jembatan Lima, Tubagus Angke, and Kota Tua area.

"Ideally, each area is guarded by10-20 personnel," she stressed, Monday (4/6). 

Hence, she intends to add the personnel number. "We will add the personnel to optimize our raid against PMKS. Currently, we're making Tomang intersection as a free-PMKS pilot area," she uttered.
