Jakarta Provincial Government continues to press the number of people with social welfare problem (PMKS) in the capital city. As a result, in a month as many as 60 PMKS were managed to be netted from some PMKS prone points in East Jakarta.

“PMKS prone points in East Jakarta are ex Kodim Jatinegara, Jalan Radin Inten, PGC, Kebon Nanas (Jatinegara), and under Halim Bridge. We managed to net 60 PMKS from those locations,” stated Social Control Monitoring Services (P3S) officer of East Jakarta Social Sub-Department, M Safari, Thursday (12/4).
The PMKS netted includes punk kids, beggars, thugs, street singers, people with mental issue, and commercial sex workers (PSK).

In order to prevent PMKS from getting back to the streets, as many as six teams, each consists of six P3S officers, to guard in PMKS prone points from 7 AM-10 PM.
