RW 12 Cipinang Melayu Chairman, Asprioyono Hanggo Djalu expressed the residents in 11 neighborhoods were very united when he created the Kawasan Bersih dan Hijau (KASIH) program (Clean and Green). This habit had led his region to win many championships at the provincial and national levels, such as the Climate Village (Proklim) 2022 program competition and the best Waste Management Agency (BPS) program in Jakarta. Then in 2023, it also achieved first place in the Clean Village Competition.
Adnan (61), a resident from RT 10/12, Cipinang Melayu added that cleaning the environment and caring for plants had become a routine thing.
Thus, there was no need for special preparation when there was gotong royong at provincial level.
"We're united. The mothers also all come out and prepare food or drinks for those who are doing gotong royong action. Everything complements each other, thus residents feel at home living here, including those who rent," he explained.
Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Arroyantoro explained that actually for environmental cleanliness, it had been implemented in 13 neighborhoods. Just to take part in the gotong royong competition, his party offered RW 12. Because the residents were very united and used to maintaining cleanliness and greenery every day.
"Because it has become a habitual factor in terms of cleanliness, RW 12 is taking part in a mutual cooperation service competition," he concluded.
According to him, the assessment of the gotong royong service competition was slated on Sunday (1/28) and assessmeny for the BPS competition on Tuesday.
"We will win this competition," he stressed.
