Central Jakarta Administration keeps handling stunting by running Jakarta Bergerak Atasi Stunting (Jakarta Beraksi ) which involves various elements through the foster father/mother program for stunted children.

They were spread in 23 urban villages and eight sub-districts

Since in the middle of 2023 ago, the program which interventing nutrition improvement by providing additional food, has involved many of companies and organizations as collaborator. There were 292 toddlers have been handled in Central Jakarta through the program.

Central Jakarta Administration's Community Welfare Head, Ahmad Joehandi, the program has involved eight private companies and several organizations from city to national level.

"As many as 292 toddlers have been handled. They were spread in 23 urban villages and eight sub-districts," he said, Thursday (1/25).

Ahmad explained that the intervention to improve the quality of toddler's nutrition is providing ready-to-eat food for 90 working days for toddlers who are in the wasting and stunting category and for 14 working days for toddlers who are in the underweight category. PMT is given every day at two intervals for ready-to-eat food, namely midday and evening.

Those 292 toddlers were spread in Kebon Melati Urban Village, Bendungan Hilir, Serdang, Kebon Kosong, Cempaka Putih Barat, Galur, Senen, and Johar Baru Urban Village.

Next are Mangga Dua Selatan, Kartini, Karang Anyar, Petojo Utara, Duri Pulo, Petamburan, Kampung Bali, Karet Tengsin, Cempaka Baru and Gunung Sahari Selatan Urban Village. Then Tanah Tinggi, Pegangsaan, Harapan Mulia, Sumur Batu and Utan Panjang Urban Village.

The eight private companies as collaborator are PT PAM Jaya, Green Pramuka Square, Astra Property, PT Kharisma Pemasaran Nusantara, PT Jakpro, MNC Peduli, Sarana Jaya dan PT Penjamin Infrastruktur Indonesia.

The institutions involved in the program are Ministry of Foreign Affairs, KKBN and WBI, Jakarta BAZNAS Bazis, Central Jakarta State Prosecutor, and Central Jakarta Baznas Bazis.

Ahmad makes sure the program will remain exist for this year. The running activity is run by Jakarta Baznas Bazis and Sarana Jaya up to March 2024.

"PT Penjamin Infrastruktur Indonesia is also holding the program up to three months ahead," he closed.
