International Cricket Field will Soon Be Built in Ceger

The Ceger Football Field, Cipayung Sub-district, East Jakarta is proposed to be a multi-purpose or multi-sport field. Inside the field, there are sports fields for cricket, basketball, badminton, football, and other sports.

East Jakarta Youth and Sports Sub-agency Head, Suyoto said the idea came to him after Jakarta won a gold medal in cricket at the Papua PON 2021.

To maintain this achievement, the Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency directed that an international standard cricket sports field be prepared.

"We'll build a multi-sports field. There will be football fields, cricket fields, and other sports facilities," he explained, Friday (1/26).

To get maximal results, it needed more thorough study and planning, as it would be the only cricket field in Jakarta.

"Planning will take the next two years," he uttered.

East Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Iin Mutmainah added the large area of the Ceger Football Field was enough to be built the sport of cricket.

"Hopefully, it will be a safe, comfortable, and representative sports facility with international standards in Ceger," he concluded.
