C. Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency Distributed 11,913 Books Last Year

The Central Jakarta Library and Archives (Pusip) Sub-agency has distributed 11,913 books to the public during the 2023 period. Even, this year, there will be 24,000 books and some of them will be distributed to the public.

Distribution to the community is adjusted to needs

Central Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency Head, Irwan Septinadi said that last year, his sub-agency held 21,563 copies of books consisting of various titles, starting from parenting, motivation, skills, and picture stories.

"Some of the 2023 procurement will be distributed to libraries and our mobile cars. Distribution to the community is adjusted to needs, for instance, for RPTRAs more themes are appropriate to the children's ages," he said, Tuesday (1/30).

Of 21,563 books,11,913 copies of which were the result of community aspirations and had been distributed. The remaining 9,650 copies were distributed to libraries and mobile library cars for the Central Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency.

Besides distributing books last year, his party also distributed 125 supporting facilities in the form of bookshelves to the community.

"We distribute them to reading corners, RPTRA libraries, and residents' libraries in eight sub-districts throughout Central Jakarta," he asserted.

Library Division Head, Noor Muchyadi added that this year, his party would first detail the location and number of books and bookshelves that would be distributed.

Predictably, the actual distribution of books and shelves this year is not much different from 2023.

"The total number of books we will provide is around 24,000 copies and 5,000 will be distributed to the public. For bookshelves, a total of 100 units including the Asma's shortage from the 2023 Musrenbang," he stated.
