The residents flocked the cheap market program initiated by Jakarta Provincial Government in Cilandak Barat Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta.

Cilandak Barat Urban Village Head, Ilham Prasetyo, explained the program prepared 1,000 packages consisted five kilograms of rice, two liters of cooking oil, one kilogram sugar, and one kilogram flour.

"The activity was opened from 8 AM to 9.30 AM. More than 300 people already waiting the line," he said, Wednesday (2/7).

According to him, the package was sold Rp 100,000, or cheaper compared to the market. The program is assessed effectively anticipating inflation rate in Jakarta.

"It is hoped the program will remain exist to assist residents fulfilling their daily needs," he added.

Meanwhile, Riska (34), one of local residents, hopes the program can be held routinely especially during special day.

"Thanks to Jakarta Provincial Government for providing this program," she admitted.
