Rawa Terate Pump House Ensured to Function Well

The pump house and sluice gate located in RW 05 Rawa Terate Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta are confirmed to be functioning well to control the water discharge in the Cakung Lama River, before it flows into the Cakung Drain River.

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Section's Facilities Management Section Head, Ikhwan Maulana said the two mobile pumps that had been converted into stationary pumps at the Rawa Terate Pump House, each had a capacity of 1,000 liters per second and 300 liters per second.

"The condition is still very good and functions optimally to overcome the puddles that usually occur in the RW 05 Rawa Terate area," he expressed, Friday (2/16).

Patra Pump House Construction Completed

According to him, every day the pump house is guarded by two task force personnel who work in shifts 24 hours a day.

Rawa Terate Urban Village Secretary, Daniel Wisnu Parulin justified that the condition of the pump house was still optimal. Personnel who operate pump machines are also always on standby to deal with inundation in their area.

"The existing gate also functions well, where it can be opened and closed," he concluded.
