Disturbing Resident, Illegal Disposal Site in Kebayoran Lama Closed

Based on citizen's complaint, a total of 10 illegal waste disposal sites (TPS) in Kebayoran Lama were closed by the Kebayoran Lama apparatus. The TPS caused bad odor and affect the health of residents around the sites.

The 10 sites scattered in several areas such as in Cipulir Urban Village 4 sites, Kebayoran Lama Utara 2 sites, Grogol Selatan 2 sites, Kebayoran Lama Selatan 1 site, and Pondok Pinang 1 site.

"We already closed 10 illegal waste disposal sites since the existence disturbing surrounding environment," told Munjirin, Kebayoran Lama Sub-District Head, Wednesday (4/15).

Although the sites were closed, Munjirin continued, there are residents who still throw trash at the location. "They usually throw it from motorcycle while going to work or shopping," he explained.

According to him, there are 8 official disposal sites in Kebayoran Lama Sub-District. "The number is not sufficient to accommodate all trash in Kebayoran Lama because each site can only accommodate 1-2 dumptrucks," he disclosed.
