Matraman SDA Task Force Handles Collapsed Sheet Pile in Utan Kayu Selatan

Some 10 personnel of the Matraman Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, East Jakarta, carried out initial handling of collapsed sheet pile, Jalan Mocokerto I, RT 17/13, Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village (UKS).

This sheet pile which has 24 meters long with two meters high was collapsed after being eroded with heavy rain on March 1.
Matraman Sub-district Vice Head, Muhammad Husnul Fauzi explained the initial treatment was to install dolken wood on the part of the sheet pile that collapsed, thus further landslides would not occur. Because next to the landslide area, there are walls of residents' houses.

Matraman Sub-district Executing Unit's SDA Task Force Coordinator, Saeful added the initial treatment had started last Monday (3/4), with dolken wood and covering the collapsed parts using sandbags.
"For the parts that are sinking, we cover them with sandbags, thus they don't sink too badly. This is a temporary hold," he explained.
If the budget is reduced, all parts of the plaster that are crumbling will be completely dismantled. Then it was built anew using river stone.
To make it more sturdy, the top and bottom are fitted with cast concrete sloops. Then, every three meters will also be fitted with a sloop, which is connected to another sloop.
