98 New Traffic Signs Installed in East Jakarta

The East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency has attached 98 traffic signs in several areas of East Jakarta from January 2024 to March 25, 2024. Even, 150 traffic signs will be attached until the end of April 2024.

It aims to create a sense of security and comfort for drivers and pedestrians

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Traffic Section Head, Benhard Tobing stated that 98 traffic signs were attached to replace previous signs which were blurry, brittle, and damaged by age. On average, those signs were more than 10 years old.

"It aims to create a sense of security and comfort for drivers and pedestrians," he said, Tuesday (3/26).

A Sign Installation Technical Staff, Dedi Suparman, added the types of signs he installed including caution signs, no stopping, and no parking. Then there are signs directing many children to cross, three left-hand intersections, JakLingko bus stop signs, and other types of signs.

Those signs could be found on Jalan Jatinegara Kaum in front of the PAM Jaya Field, Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, and Jalan Raya Condet.

"This is done to follow up on residents' aspirations in the Musrenbang and requests directly by letter to us," he closed.
