Fire Breaks Out at Used Goods Hut in Lagoa

Firefighters have managed to put out the flames that hit a used goods collector's hut located in Lagoa Urban Village, Koja Sub-district, North Jakarta.

It occurs in RT 05 and 07/RW 10

North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agencies Picket Officer, Subadi said the fire report was received at 8.45 AM via emergency call service.

"We immediately send 60 firefighters and 12 fire engines to the scene," he expressed, Monday (4/1).

Fire in Gedong Successfully Extinguished

He explained the fire came out at a used goods collector's hut and then spread to four houses and four rented houses.

"It occurs in RT 05 and 07/RW 10," he explained.

He explained the extinguishing process was completed at 11.07 AM. No fatalities or injuries in the fire incident.

"Allegedly, it was caused by electrical short circuit," he explained.

Lagoa Urban Village Head, Suratno Widodo added there were seven heads of families with a total of 62 people who were fire survivors.

"Currently, they are taking refuge in the Global Shophouse, Jalan Mangga, RW 10. Logistical assistance will be distributed from the North Jakarta Social Agency, BPBD, and PMI," he closed.
