12,056 Tourists Swarm Seribu Islands

As many as 12,056 tourists visited the favorite tourist destinations in Seribu Islands to spend their Idul Fitri holiday from April 8-11, 2024.

11,588 visitors are local tourists and 468 are foreign tourists

Seribu Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency (Parekraf) Head, Sonti Pangaribuan expressed the tourists entered the Seribu Islands from four entrances, namely Muara Angke, Marina Ancol, Tanjung Pasir, and Cituis piers.

"11,588 visitors are local tourists and 468 are foreign tourists," he expressed, Friday (4/12).

He predicted that tourist visits to residential islands and resorts would continue to increase until D+5 of Idul Fitri or Monday (4/15).

"Most visited Untung Jawa, Tidung, and Pramuka islands," he explained.

Tidung Island Tourist Information Center Officer, Helmayuri stated that from April 8 to 11, 2024, there wre 1,743 local and foreign tourists.

"There has been an increase in tourist visits compared to normal days," he added.

To anticipate a surge in tourists, joint personnel had set up a security post in front of the Jembatan Cinta Main Pier.

"Tourists usually flock to the Jembatan Cinta beach area, which is the icon of the Seribu Islands. At night, there is a swaying fountain at that place that visitors can enjoy," he added.

In the meantime, one of the tourists from Kemayoran, Ilhamia Hamdalah (37), admitted he took his children on holiday to Tidung Island.

"We went on holiday for two days here. We can introduce marine biota in Jakarta waters. My children were very happy," she stated.
