932 Joint Personnel Gear Up to Smoothen Idul Fitri Celebration in E. Jakarta

Around 932 joint personnel from Satpol PP, Police and TNI have been deployed to intensify public security in the East Jakarta area during Idul Fitri holiday.

Of 932 joint personnel, 462 of them are police, 35 are TNI, and 435 are Satpol PP

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar said the 932 joint personnel had been deployed since D-7 of Idul Fitri at the security post. They would be on standby during mudik (exodus) flow and returning flow, as well as takbiran night and Idul Fitri celebration.

"Of 932 joint personnel, 462 of them are police, 35 are TNI, and 435 are Satpol PP. This number does not include elements of the community," he expressed, Sunday (4/7).

To maintain solemnity, comfort, and security, residents were urged not to convoy for takbiran on the road and play with firecrackers.

"It will trigger chaos between groups," he expressed.

East Jakarta Meteo Resort Police Vice Chief, AKBP Burhanudin added as many as 463 personnel had been prepared and has set up 11 security posts in several areas.

Together with other pillars, his party was ready to secure and smoothen the Idul Fitri prayers, starting from mudik flow and returning flow.

"Until security at tour sites and crowded areas in East Jakarta," he explained.

Security support was also expressed by East Jakarta Kasdim 0505, Lt. Col. Inf. Ali Cahyono. He sent 35 personnel to supoort the police, Satpol PP, and residents in securing the Idul Fitri celebration.

"Then Babinsa must remain alert in their respective areas, assisting with security in their assigned areas," he added.

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budhy Novian uttered his 435 personnel would join the TNI/police and residents. Besides being alerted at security posts, they were also deployed to several roads in anticipation of takbiran convoy.

"It is focused on the Pulogebang Terminak, Kampung Rambutan Terminal, and Jatinegara Terminal," he added.

His party even deployed personnel in ten big mosques. including Al Azhar Cakung Mosque, At Tien TMII, Baitussalam Grand Mosque, Billymoon Complex, and other mosques.
