Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono opened the Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang) for the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for 2025 and the Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) for 2025-2045, at City Hall, Tuesday (4/23).
Let's commit together to make Jakarta a better and more advanced city by 2045
Heru said that to realize Jakarta's strong stability on the global stage, joint efforts are needed to improve superior, productive and prosperous Human Resources.
"In realizing equitable, fair development of the Jakarta region, as well as quality and environmentally friendly infrastructure, we also need to increase superior, productive and prosperous human resources. It is hoped that by 2045 Jakarta will be able to compete with other global cities with superior human resources and a strong economy," he said, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.
Heru Emphasizes Construction of NCICD and Development of Historical Tourism AreasHeru also stated that this activity has an important role for Jakarta's sustainable future. The preparation of these two documents carried out during Jakarta's transition from the nation's capital to a global city, amidst global economic and political challenges. In this condition, Acting Governor Heru appealed to mitigate risks and minimize the impact on Jakarta's economy.
"The preparation of this planning document also considers Jakarta's position as a global city by considering central government policies, namely the 2025-2045 National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN) Indonesia Emas, the 2025-2029 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) Strengthening the Foundations of Transformation, and the RKP (Government Work Plan) 2025 Acceleration of Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth. This is aimed at preparing Jakarta to become a business city, as well as an economic center on a regional and global scale," he added.
He stated changes to authority through the Jakarta Special Region Bill have references to the global city index, as well as the regional spatial plan for the Jakarta Province. This needs to be implemented in planning documents, both for the long, medium and annual terms.
Even though the priority activity program has been implemented in the planning budget, several challenges have also been taken into account, such as APBD limitations which can affect the acceleration of infrastructure development to move the nation's capital, a paradigm shift in implementing international standard activities, and the creation of new urban economic activities to create a competitive global city.
"Therefore, Jakarta must meet the parameters of a well-established and globally connected economy, such as good research and innovation capacity, tourism and cultural support that attracts tourists to visit, a clean and comfortable environment, and adequate accessibility so that Jakarta remains well seen by assessors of the world's major cities," he explained.
Meanwhile, Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Head, Atika Nur Rahmania, stated that Jakarta has integrated and adaptive governance, as well as a sustainable and comfortable environment to live in. Therefore, at the 2025-2045 Jakarta RPJPD Musrenbang, the vision, mission, main targets and policy direction for Jakarta in the future are sharpened.
"Hopefully this Musrenbang will be able to create long-term development plans that are data-based and pay attention to various aspects of the lives of the people of Jakarta. Let's commit together to make Jakarta a better and more advanced city by 2045," she appealed.
