May, Sidewalk Construction on Jalan Raya Cilincing Completed

Six personnel under the Cilincing Sub-district Bina Marga Task Force is seen building a sidewalk on Jalan Raya Cilincing, RW 13, Kalibaru Urban Village, North Jakarta.

Hope it can be completed according to target

It has been ongoing since March 18, 2024, and is targeted for completion in early May.

Cilincing Sub-district Bina Marga Task Force Head, Hartanto said the new sidewalk construction was made along 150 meters with a width of 1.5 meters.

"This is a priority because the location had not previously completed with sidewalks," he expressed, Wednesday (4/24).

He explained the sidewalk construction began with the installation of the kanstine. Next, there would be land leveling in a bid to install the conblock

"The work progress has touched 70 percent. Hope it can be completed according to target," he explained.

He added road damage around the sidewalk construction area was also being repaired.

"Hopefully, it can provide more comfort and safety for sidewalk and road users," he added.

Kalibaru Urban Village Head, Rusmin uttered that having a sidewalk as a barrier between the edge and shoulder of the road would better protect pedestrians from the potential of being hit or grazed by vehicles.

"I appreciate the personnel who moved quickly to follow up on our proposal. Hope the construction will be completed quickly because the community really needs it," he said.
