Bali Diskominfos Conducts Working Visit to Jakarta Diskominfotik

The Bali Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency (Diskominfos) paid a working visit to Jakarta Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik).

Data and Statistic Section Head, Andriyan stated the Bali Diskominfos' visit was aimed to get information related to obtain information related to the implementation of sectoral statistics, especially the use of Big Data in Jakarta.

"Principally, our work system is the same, the difference is only related to the strategy," he expressed after he received the group at the V-Meeting Jakarta Smart City (JSC) Room, Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (4/30).

He explained the Jakarta Provincial Government's strategy was to coordinate with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) at the city and provincial levels.

The data results related to regional apparatus. Aside that the Jakarta Government also has an application called JAKI, which is one of the strategies for developing technology.

"They are interested in the JAKI application, which currently has a lot of users. So, Bali Diskominfos plans to develop the same application," he explained.

According to him, they were also advised to strengthen coordination with BPS in their region to prepare the necessary data.

"Hopefully, they get ideas and innovations to improve the management or administration of statistics," he hoped.

"They attending today also came from city and district levels in Bali. We are very grateful for the information and strategies that Diskominfotik has conveyed," he explained.

His group received a lot of input, especially in managing statistics. Moreover, Jakarta received the highest score from BPS.

"We came to know more about sustainable statistical systems," he added.

He wanted Bali Diskominfos to implement and apply the knowledge and insight gained, thus the implementation of statistics in Bali could be more optimal.

"We still have a lot of statistical knowledge to learn. Through this visit we are determined to improve data processing and publication. We also get information about new innovations that we might be able to implement," he stated.
