The Jakarta Provincial Government is about to celebrate the declaration for Jakarta's 497th Anniversary at Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta on Sunday (5/19). The Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono will attend it, which is also the beginning of a series of activities for the City's anniversary.

Development and Environment Assistant, Afan Adriansyah Idris, as Chair of the City's Anniversary Commemoration Committee stated Jakarta residents must maintain order and discipline in keeping the environment clean by not littering during the event.

"Let's enliven it orderly and not litter for our mutual comfort," he expressed, as the Jakarta Government's press release, Friday (5/17).

There will be the Kahitna music group and other interesting entertainment, starting at 6 AM to 9 AM, Kicir-kicir gymnastics at Bundardan HI, and several cultural attractions such as Gondel or gotong ondel-ondel, Betawi dance performances, and other interesting performances.

"To smoothen it, we'll apply traffic diversion of Transjakarta bus routes in order to parse traffic jams. We also prepare 14 parking pockets," he added.
