After held sudden inspection at Marunda Flats, Cilincing, North Jakarta on Wednesday (4/22), North Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi seemed disappointed after found many garbage scattered across a number of locations.

"If the flats have management, the garbage should not scattered across the parking, the corners, and the park," said Rustam.  

The inspection is one of Mayor's routine activities after inaugurated. The inspection had started at 10 AM until 11.30 AM.

Effendy admitted that he had called the cleanliness section of the flats. Even so, he also asked the urban village and sub-district head to give attention for the cleanliness in flats.

Contacted separately, Flats Management Unit (UPRS) Region 1 of Jakarta Housing and Building Department, Marwiyanti claimed to rebuke the janitor at Marunda Flats. According to her, as many as 15 janitors were placed in each cluster to work interchangeably.

"We will evaluate the janitor and give socialization to the citizens to not throw trash recklessly and maintain the cleanliness," told Marwiyanti.
