Ahok: I Also Need to Hold Blusukan

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja 'Ahok' Purnama did a direct observation to inspection road construction at Mookevart River in Cengkareng and Sekretaris River in Kebon Jeruk Urban Village, West Jakarta. The former regent of Belitung Timur claimed, he received message from the President Joko Widodo to not only receive report from his subordinate, but he also needs to monitor the problem directly because some problems can't be solved by relying on reports.
"Why I should do an impromptu visit (blusukan) to West Jakarta? Because there are problems which cannot be solved by only use CCTV (closed circuit television) as to monitor the flood or rubbish. The problem from citizen's complaint should be directly responded by me," explained Ahok at Sekretaris River, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Thursday (4/9).
Ahok Invites Mookevart River Citizens to Move Into the FlatBy this blusukan, Basuki continued, he can find the solution of the problem directly, such as to buy the abandoned building at Sekretaris riverside. "I immediately thought why we don't buy vacant land? Then we also can search the appropriate legal to buy the apartment which is abandoned due to bankruptcy," he told.
After blusukan, Ahok also thinks that the blusukan action that conducted by Mr. Jokowi is useful. However, Ahok admitted, he not often to do impromptu visit because he had installed many CCTV to monitor problem in capital.
"I think Mr. Jokowi is right about the necessity for me to monitor the problem directly. But, I not often to do the visit because we have install some CCTV in some locations," he explained.
