Joint Personnel Destroy 8,285 Illegal Drugs in Ciracas

Around 8.285 illegal drugs were destroyed in the yard of the Ciracas Sub-district office, East Jakarta, Wednesday (5/29). It was done because these drugs were allegedly often misused by groups of teenagers as doping for brawls.

Ciracas Sub-district Head, Yus Wil Rasyid said the action involved joint personnel from the East Jakarta National City Narcotics Agency (BNNK), Ciracas Police, Koramil (sub-district military command), Satpol PP, and sub-district apparatuses.

"It is carried out by crushing it and dissolving it in a chemical liquid," he explained.

According to him, those drugs were the result of raids by joint officers on several shops in his area from August 2023 to May 2024. The types of drugs destroyed included Tramadol, Alprazolam, and Dumolid.

"Teenagers often consume them as doping to commit acts of violence and brawls," he exclaimed.
