Achmad said this routine activity is carried out every year to monitor developments in handling stunting in the region. It is hoped that the stunting rate will continue to decrease every year because the party always synergizes with stakeholders in handling it.
Stunting Prevalence Rate in Central Jakarta Exceeds National Target"Through this activity, teams from the central and provincial governments want to see progress in handling stunting. So we explain the handling, including CSR involvement," he said.
According to him, many CSRs have played a role in handling stunting since 2023. Those are PAM Jaya, Transjakarta, Baznas Bazis and several private companies. CSR involvement is very necessary because the budget from the APBD cannot be used entirely for handling stunting.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Herwin Meifendy, stated stunting case in his area is declining from 700 to 600 children.
According to Herwin, the reduction in stunting is caused by many factors. Starting from the increase in height and weight and there are also those who have increased in age. So it cannot be called stunting when you are over five years old.
Herwin added these eight convergence actions to accelerate the reduction in stunting rates are situation analysis, activity plans, and stunting discussions. Then the preparation of regional regulations, development of human cadres, data management systems, measurement and publication of data as well as performance reviews.
There are 20 urban villages in East Jakarta focusing on integrated stunting reduction intervention. Those are Pondok Kopi, Utan kayu Utara, Bidara Cina, Rawa Bunga, Cipinang Besar Selatan and so on.
"We also have zero stunting urban village in Balimester," he concluded.
