New Channel Built on Jalan Jembatan Dua Barat

The West Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas Sub-agency (PRKP) is building a water channel on Jalan Jembatan Dua Barat, RT 08/10, Angke Urban Village, Tambora Sub-district.

West Jakarta PRKP Sub-agency Head, Agus Ruhyat said the channel was being conducted up to 110 meters, using a U-ditch measuring 30 centimeters wide and 40 centimeters high.

“Previously, there were no water pipes at the location. That's why we built a new water channel," he expressed, Thursday (6/13).

It was carried out by a private party and according to the contract it started on May 6, 2024, and was completed on August 2, 2024.

"The work progress has reached 60 percent. It is done to make the area tidier," he stated

The work received appreciation from one of the residents, Wira Christian (49).

"Now, there is a new water channel. Hopefully, it can overcome flooding and make the environment tidier," he stated.
