Pasar Minggu Urban Village Head, Meilita, said elderly school is realized through collaboration of Pasar Minggu Urban Village and South Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Sub-agency, as well as residents.

"Elderly school is located at Balai Warga RT 05/05, Jalan Palapa Raya," she said, Friday (6/14).

Meilita explained that the formation of the Elderly School aims to improve the skills and knowledge of elderly residents in various aspects of life.

"This aspect of life includes health, social skills, financial skills and technological skills. So, they can improve their quality of life," she added.

She hopes that this Elderly School can empower and provide education to the elderly so that they can remain healthy, independent, active, productive and happy.

"We have high hopes that all elements of society, whether young or old, will always be productive and produce positive things for themselves and the environment," she continued.

Meanwhile, Pasar Minggu Elderly School Headmaster, Biter, stated schools are activated two days a month, namely every Thursday in the first and third weeks.

"Currently there are 20 elderly people actively involved in school activities. We invite and open the door as wide as possible to all stakeholders and company CSR to contribute," he stated.
