South Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency's Food Security and Agriculture Section Head, Siti Halimah, said socialization on oyster mushroom cultivation was held to increase interest and public knowledge regarding the benefits resulting from oyster mushroom cultivation.
"Oyster mushroom cultivation has high prospects, apart from the economic side, this cultivation is also for environmental food security," she said, Friday (6/28).
KPKP Agency Enlivens Agrofood Expo 2024 at JCCHalimah hoped that this socialization will provide business opportunities and increase income for both individuals and groups.
Apart from socializing cultivation, Halimah continued, her party also handed over three packages of kumbung and oyster mushroom baglog to TP PKK South Jakarta.
"Hopefully that it is useful, especially in terms of maintaining environmental food security," she added.
South Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Essie Feransie Munjirin, thanked the socialization program held today.
She appealed sub-district head, urban village heads, and environment cadres to monitor cultivation development.
"I also especially appeal to urban village heads to develop oyster mushroom cultivation on unused land or existing urban farming locations," she said.
