This Week, Channel Normalization on Jalan Pintu Besi I Completed

The water channel normalization located on Jalan Pintu Besi I, RW 05, Pasar Baru Urban Village, Sawah Besar which has been started since June 6 will be completed this week.

Hopefully, it will be finished soon

"Residents are asking for normalization because the water flow in the channel is not flowing and often causes flooding during long periods of heavy rain," said Sawah Besar SDA Sub-district Executing Unit Head, Yusuf Sumardani, Friday (6/28).

After passing through a sweeping process, the water in the channel could not flow smoothly into the connecting channel on Jalan Lautze Raya.

Technically, his party had to elevate the channel for adjustment, thus water from the microchannel could be channeled to the macro channel.

"It involves ten personnel and one mini excavator. The work progress has touched 85 percent and is targeted to be completed by the end of June," he added.

The work above received appreciation from one of the residents in RW 05 Pasar Baru Urban Village, Fredy (45). He hoped, it would overcome the problem of flooding in residential areas.

"Hopefully, it will be finished soon," he hoped.
