Harapan Island Holds Vocational Training in Cooling Techniques

The Seribu Islands Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency (Nakertransgi) held vocational training on cooling or Air Conditioning (AC) techniques at the Harapan Island Multipurpose Room, North Seribu Islands. It will last for 22 days, from June 24 to July 25, 2024.

Seribu Islands Nakertransgi Sub-agency Head, Zahrul Wildan said the training aimed at reducing unemployment was attended by 10 participants consisting of students and residents.
"Through this training, we want to prepare human resources who have skills and abilities. Thus, they will easily find employment or entrepreneurship opportunities," he expressed, Friday (6/28).
Disbud Holds Curatorial Training for Museum ProfessionalsAccording to him, this cooling engineering training was the first batch, they would get 20 days of training and two days of competency testing. The participants were accompanied by two trainers who were experts in their fields.
During the training, participants would be provided with material in the form of applying Occupational Safety and Health (K3) principles in the workplace, using hand tools, implementing quality procedures, and reading technical drawings.
"Participants also practice directly how to solder with brass and/or silver, measure electricity/electronics, fill cooling systems, and maintain refrigeration systems, both commercial and industrial," he explained.
He added participants who pass the competency test will receive a training certificate and competency certificate from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
"For training in cooling techniques, we still have two more batches which we will hold on different islands," he asserted.
In the meantime, one of the participants, Mochamad Rifky (23), admitted he was lucky to take part in the training and hopes to improve his skills and create employment opportunities.
"This is a big opportunity for me to be more advanced and creative. I will prove I can do it by taking this training," he stated.
