12 PPSU Personnel Construct Infiltration Wells in Setu Urban Village

As many as four infiltration wells are constructed by Setu Urban Village PPSU personnel, Cipayung, East Jakarta at Tipul Alley, RT 06/03. Infiltration wells are constructed to solve inundation in the area.

Cipayung Sub-district Head, Panangaran Ritonga, said the infiltration well construction is part of area arrangement program in the area. It is also to reach 200 infiltration wells target.

"It is hoped the infiltration wells are able to solve inundation in the area," Ritonga said, Friday (7/5).

Setu Urban Village Head, Dwi Widiastuti, explained the construction of this infiltration well was the result of synergy with residents. Residents prepared all the materials to provide them. Meanwhile, her party is preparing drilling machines and PPSU personnel.

"The four infiltration wells have an average depth of 20 meters. The target is to complete the work next week," she explained.

Meanwhile, RT 06/03 Setu Head, Syaripuloh, admitted the area is often inundated by around 50 cm during heavy rain since the existing channel is not able to flow the water. The existing channel was constructed individually by residents and only has 25-30 cm of width.

"This condition lasts for 15 years. Now the infiltration wells are constructed here," he admitted.
